Casey
Favorite WOD: Fight Gone Bad! It’s got everything; pushing, pulling, weights, metcon, gymnastics…you name it. It’s profoundly effective and at fifteen minutes total length it’s extraordinarily efficient.
Least favorite WOD: Kalsu, hands down. It’s one of the few WODs that I’ve turned in a did-not-finish on…I’m not ruling out a rematch though.
Time crossfitting: 2.5 years. Six months solo in the basement and two years with proper coaching.
What is Crossfit?: The single best way to be prepared to meet any physical challenge, push your boundaries and the most fun you will ever have training.
Workout music of choice: All over the map. Metal, old school hip hop, techno, dance…you name it. As long as loud, fast and heavily bass-oriented I’m in.

CrossFit Kettlebell

…although recently I may have developed an alter ego named Jeremiah Healy. You don’t really want to mess with that guy. Some say he’s tucked away in asylum for the criminally insane, others assume he passed away years ago. It’s just best not to ask.
Favorite WOD: Hero WODs. I think it’s very fitting the way these fallen heroes have been memorialized, having known some of them personally.
Least favorite WOD: Anything that involves a kettle bell or dead lift; not surprisingly I really suck at both.
Time crossfitting: About 2 years.
What is Crossfit?: Crossfit is preparing you for “X”, whatever “X” may be. Some people attempt this type of work and never come back. For others, it’s exactly the type of work that keeps them coming back.
Workout music of choice: Anything with a good beat. Some people like the angry stuff, however I spend enough time during the WODs in a dark, unforgiving place so I don’t really need extra motivation.

Favorite WOD: Any and all Bear Complexes, except for the one where Craig tried to murder us quietly w/ weighted good mornings. Oh, and Tabata…If I could find him, I’d marry Dr. Tabata. Sorry, Jay.
Least favorite WOD: Any and all WODs containing overhead squats. Gross on many levels.
Time Crossfitting: Proudly since March 2010.
What is Crossfit?: Love. For your body, mind & spirit.
Workout music of choice: LADY GAGA. Oh, and Bounce, by Timbaland. Play. Repeat.
Qualifications:

Favorite WOD: I heart Tabata except while I’m doing it and CrossFit Total because I get to lift heavy things.
Least favorite WOD: Anything with running. Oh, and box jumps are my nemesis but what’s a story without an evil nemesis?
Time Crossfitting: I began CrossFitting in spring of 2010 so I’m very much a newbie unless common law applies in which case I’m a veteran!
What is CrossFit: The most effective way to condition my body for whatever I, my situation, or life might demand of it. CrossFit Fort Meade is a group of spectacularly different individuals intensely pursuing sport beyond the boundaries of “conventional” fitness training while having a damn good time. This CFFM community has introduced me to inner strength I didn’t know I had and challenged me to find a physical ability I didn’t know I wanted. Roar.
Workout music of choice: Loud with good beat for moving fast and/or loud with an extra helping of anger for lifting. Oh, and of course, Kid Rock. I <3 him.
Qualifications/certs:
CrossFit LVL1 Trainer
CrossFit Kettlebell
CrossFit Mobility
Craig
Favorite WOD: Forrest, Mr. Joshua, Tillman. Any of the Hero WODs because of what they stand for. Oh…and Helen
Least favorite WOD: The Hero WODs because of why we have them, Fran = Overrated, and any WOD that Jay beats me on.
Time Crossfitting: Off and on from 2006-2008. Dedicated since 2008.
What is Crossfit?: The basic answer is a very intense strength and conditioning program. For me, Crossfit is a mindset the program was made for anyone, but it’s not for everyone.
Workout music of choice: Trance and Techo, but everyone makes fun of me. Uns..Uns..Uns…
Qualifications/certs:

JH2 as far as the whiteboard is concerned, since John Hoffner was and always will be the original JH.
Favorite WOD: Fran
Least favorite WOD: Anything with running. And, uh, Fran.
Time crossfitting: Since Jan of 08. What’s that, 2 1/2 years? Wow.
What is Crossfit?: Crossfit is death on a pogo stick. Crossfit is the path from here to there. Crossfit is the person you want to be, all wrapped up in your fears and weaknesses. Unwrap it.
Workout music of choice: Heavy metal; something angrier than I am, but not quite as angry as ShanK’s music.
Qualifications/certs:
CrossFit LVL1 Trainer
CrossFit Gymnastics
CrossFit Kettlebell
CrossFit Endurance
A handful of Olympic lifting clinics
Accelerated Freefall Skydiving

Jess
Favorite WOD: I don’t think I can choose a favorite because I like destroying all of them. (Respect to the heroes, of course)
Least favorite WOD: Anything impact… running, box jumps, double-unders because I don’t get to play until my ankle is healed
Time crossfitting: I was born CrossFitting
What is Crossfit?: CrossFit is a way to mentally and physically prepare for the unexpected shit. CrossFit is not getting winded walking up a flight of stairs. CrossFit is my addiction. Finally, CrossFit is DAMN sexy.
Workout music of choice: Anything fast with a beat that keeps my ass motivated to work!
Qualifications/certs:
CrossFit LVL1 Trainer

Shannon
Favorite WOD: anything with several deadlifts, snatches or cleans.
Least favorite WOD: anything involving running these days, but I am working on that.
Time crossfitting: Started Crossfitting in 2005, while living in England. Started CFFM around April ‘08.
What is Crossfit?: Crossfit to me means being around for my kids. It means I can run and jump and play with them. It means I’m the cool mom who can do pullups and deadlift. It means that if anything were to ever happen to someone I love, I can lift, push or pull something off of them to get them out of trouble. Crossfit women are strong. We are beautiful. Our hands are ripped up, our quads don’t fit into jeans anymore and it’s AWESOME! One of my favorite quotes is: “You don’t get what you WISH for, you earn what you WORK for”. Don’t be afraid of a little hard work. Be strong, be beautiful…be a Crossfitter!
Workout music of choice: haha! Scandinavian Death Metal, grindcore, industrial…anything that makes JH2 question my sanity.
